Land Development and Exploration (LDE) is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer for an exciting range of projects for domestic and commercial clients as well as central and local Authorities.

Your choice of locations include the buzzing beach city of Gisborne with its outdoor life style or the coastal / rural setting of Warkworth just 45 minutes from the Auckland CBD.

Work will involve:
• Civil Design Works for many and various projects including.

  • Coastal Revetment
    • Roading and Pavement Design
  • Reinforced Earth Wall Design
  • Stormwater Neutrality
    • Wastewater ManagementNot essential but an understanding of the following would be useful:
    • Contract Drawings and Schedule of Quantities
    • Geotechnical Engineering, Slope Stability Analysis and Remediation
    • Structural Design
    • Retaining Wall Design
  • Foundation Design

The technical competencies essential to this position are:
• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural)

  • AutoCAD
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite

The company is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to manage site investigations for new projects, including commercial buildings, bridges, and large subdivisions nationwide. You will also complete site investigations for slope stability investigations and landslide stabilisation.

• Chartered Professional Engineer status, MIPENZ

The responsibilities associated with this role include:
• Responsible for carrying out, overseeing and evaluation of investigations, design, and interpretive reporting on various geotechnical projects
• Determining of workscope, methodologies and deliverables with options to meet client expectations
• Design work such as foundations, building structures, slip stabilisation & remedial works, geogrid reinforced fill, retaining structures, and ground improvement
• Maintaining existing client relations and developing new business
• Taking the role of design team leader on projects
• Managing the delivery of projects, managing staff resources to meet workloads
• Ensuring that technical checks and reviews of designs are carried out
• Supporting the principal in all technical areas including professional development of junior staff

• Coordinate LDE Ltd CPT operation and machine borehole drilling
