We have a diverse portfolio of forward work in the commercial, residential, coastal, central and local government sectors both in Tauranga and across the North Island and you will play an integral part in project delivery and leadership.
About the role
You will undertake analysis and design for key projects, including those of a specialist nature and requiring strong technical input. Project and design leadership, along with technical reviews, will make up a key part of your week. This includes mentorship of less experienced team members.
The Tauranga team are hard-working, supportive, and fun in equal measure. You’ll also be part of a national team with a varied workload. Our portfolio of work includes Council and Highway infrastructure and resilience, coastal and built marine, urban development and commercial development projects.
LDE has recently merged with WGA, a specialist engineering company based in Australia with just a hydrogeology presence in New Zealand, until now. This partnership allows us greater access to broader projects, different markets and new opportunities both locally and abroad. We already work closely with WGA’s New Zealand-based Hydrogeological team to deliver specialised ground and groundwater outcomes. We have also strengthened our learning and development offerings, designed to support multiple pathways across our business.
About You
You will be a TCC Category 1 or 2 Geo-Professional, technically proficient and experienced in working with New Zealand and Bay of Plenty soils. You will be self-motivated, ambitious and willing to mentor, lead and guide the geotechnical/geological business in New Zealand and beyond. Ideally, you will be prominent in the local market, able to drive business and continue building client relationships.
You will thrive in a small team environment within a business with a rejuvenated and exciting pipeline and plan. You will get satisfaction from owning projects, clients and technical delivery end-to-end, with autonomy and the ability to positively influence outcomes.
