Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist – Intermediate or Senior

Our Geotechnical team in Whangarei need an experienced and suitably qualified geotechnical engineer or engineering geologist. Working in and around Whangarei will involve you in projects around Northland but you can also become involved with projects driven from other offices.

About the role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for taking an autonomous, but inclusive, approach to project and client management, preparing plans, investigations and reports, managing project budgets and deliverables. Site visits would be undertaken as required depending on project requirements. There is a strong team to provide support but if you like autonomy you can make this role your own and genuinely contribute to your own future and ours.

What do you need:

Bachelor / Masters of Engineering (Civil) or Bachelor/ Masters of Science (Geology)

  • 5+ years’ experience working with NZ Standards.
  • Proficiency with industry standards and geotechnical software, e.g. Slide, Cliq, CPeT-IT
  • Solid experience with geological and geomorphological assessments.
  • The intention to work towards CPEng or PEngGeol would be advantageous
