LDE was engaged to undertake geotechnical feasibility assessments for a proposed building development on Dent Street in Whangārei. As part of the detailed geotechnical investigation, we undertook Cone Penetrometer tests and completed a full underground service location, to inform the design and concept planning for the proposed building.
The full underground service location included scanning with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Electromagnetic Induction Tools and other geophysical equipment to map both the known and unknown services within the berm, footpath and road reserve. This data was collected using a surveyor and provided as ‘.dwg’ files to inform the future design process.
