Tōtara Park Subdivision

LDE was engaged by Tōtara Parklands, to help develop a 420-lot subdivision in Whangārei.

The development was divided into eight stages, with one stage planned as a retirement village.  Mainly it involved 600 to 800 Sqm residential lots.

The Surveying and subdivision layout were provided by a local Surveyor (which we peer-reviewed before it went to council).  We supervised the reshaping of stage 7 of the 8 proposed stages for the Estate.

All specific engineering designs were completed by LDE, including:

  • Council Engineering consents
  • Stormwater attenuation
  • Flood modelling for the river
  • Roads and Roundabout
  • Retaining Wall and Mechanically Stabilised Earth wall design
  • Earthworks design and supervision
  • Construction supervision and certification

Our team were able to deliver all reports and designs as per the agreed schedule.

The collaborative relationship worked well with effective liaison and management of the various teams.  As this project was coming to an end, we were subsequently engaged for another 60/70 lot subdivision for the same client – confirmation that the client was pleased with the project.

This project demonstrates LDE’s ability to successfully deliver contracted works for a large-scale subdivision and operate collaboratively with project teams that include internal and external resources.
