LDE, alongside WGA, is excited to announce that together with WGA (Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec), we have entered into an agreement to be acquired by AtkinsRéalis - an exciting milestone in our next phase of growth across New Zealand.
Through this agreement, AtkinsRéalis aims to bring together WGA and LDE’s capabilities with its broader global expertise to support New Zealands growing infrastructure programme.
“This integration strengthens our ability to support clients in New Zealand with locally led teams, deep technical capability and the capacity to take on increasingly complex infrastructure projects,” said Nathan Silby, Joint Managing Director of WGA. “LDE brings highly respected expertise and strong regional relationships, and together we will be creating a business that combines continuity, scale and sector depth, while keeping decision-making and delivery firmly grounded in the New Zealand market.”
The agreement strengthens delivery capability while maintaining continuity across existing projects and relationships so clients can work with the same trusted teams and contacts but supported by specialist expertise and increased capacity to deliver complex, long-term projects through a locally-led delivery model once the agreement is completed.
“This is about strengthening what we already do well,” said Baden Turley, Director of LDE. “LDE has built its reputation on technical excellence, strong relationships and practical delivery. Being part of WGA within the wider AtkinsRéalis group gives our team and our clients access to broader capability and opportunity, while allowing us to continue supporting communities across New Zealand through high-quality outcomes.”
