Auckland – Large Warehouse

This is a single level warehouse with 7,200 sq.m. bulk storage and 900 sq.m. office and carparking areas.

LDE were engaged to confirm foundation conditions which were complicated through relict buried foundations from previous land use. Geology underlain by basalt rock and identification of possible lava tube or old quarry backfill was an important geotechnical risk factor. We provided advice relating to underpinning of neighbouring buildings abutting the proposed warehouse at higher ground levels.
