Geotechnical Multi-Storey Building

A multi-storey building proposed for Manukau City. It will include a combination of hotel rooms, conference facilities, retail stores and outlets. It is proposed to be a 6 storey building with two levels of basement carparking and will be constructed immediately adjacent to an existing neighbouring building and motorway off ramp.

This project is currently progressing through building consent.

We have carried out a geotechnical site investigation across the site involving a combination of machine boreholes, CPT testing and excavator trial pits to develop a geotechnical ground model. Further to this, detailed basement retaining wall design has been completed involving limit equilibrium and WALLAP displacement analyses to optimise the basement supports and to assess effects of basement excavations & groundwater drawdown on the neighbouring buildings and infrastructure.

Further support will be provided throughout the detailed design process and construction works to ensure successful completion of the project.
