State Sports Park State Centre of Football

The new State Centre of Football facility is located within the State Sports Park Precinct at Gepps Cross and is a state-of-the-art, international standard playing field and the home of Football SA.

The integrated facility is a key component in the SA Sports and Recreation Infrastructure plan and caters to all levels of participation, from grassroots to elite competitions. The ground can hold 5000 people, including a 1000-person capacity grandstand, three synthetic pitches and 10 outdoor 5-A-Side pitches.

WGA is proud to have offered structural, civil, stormwater, specialist pitch design and geotechnical services for this multi-million-dollar project. We collaborated with Greenway Architects, Football SA, Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing, Department for Infrastructure and Transport and other key consultants to deliver this important sporting project.

Football SA now have state-of-the-art offices in a facility that caters for the growing needs of the sport, and allows South Australia additional facilities and flexibility to host larger Football events.
