The ANZGEO 2023 Conference on Geomechanics has commenced in Cairns, Australia, marking the beginning of the four-day event that promises to foster knowledge exchange and forge valuable connections among industry professionals, researchers, and experts.
On the first day of the conference, LDE's Frances Neeson delivered a compelling presentation during the slopes and landslides session that she and Janelle Taplin had compiled, drawing from their experiences. Also included were lessons learned following the widespread effects of cyclone Gabrielle. Their contribution to the Slopes and Landslides session stimulated insightful discussions on risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and case studies.
