Working with Tauranga City Council requires Category 1 or 2 accreditation, and LDE is looking for an accredited geo-professional to resource that requirement in-house. We have a diverse portfolio of forward work in the commercial, residential, coastal, central and local government sectors, both in Tauranga and across the North Island, and you will play an integral part in project delivery. Senior/Chartered Civil Engineer – Tauranga

We are seeking a Chartered Senior Civil Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to autonomously manage clients and projects through inception, design and delivery, with support from our local and national resources. This role is the technical lead for the Bay of Plenty region, giving support to the local team while being an integral member of the national team. You will have the tools and autonomy to make this role your own and genuinely contribute to your own future. You will have the confidence and capability to work autonomously while contributing to the success of civil teams across all our offices and help continue growing our presence in the Bay of Plenty. Work will involve civil design, leadership and reviews on a variety of projects, including but not limited to: • Small to large residential, commercial and industrial development. • Roading and pavement design • Three waters engineering • Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) • Construction management and verification. • Retaining wall and MSE wall design • Coastal and marine structures. Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer – Tauranga

This exciting opportunity is part of our multi disciplinary team in our Tauranga office, located in Mount Maunganui and an integral part of our service delivery in the Bay of Plenty region. Becoming part of this team will give you exposure to other disciplines (civil, structural and environmental); provide you the tools and autonomy to make this role your own to genuinely contribute to your own future. There are local, regional and national projects which the Team have a hand in during a normal day. You will get involved in these and gain valuable and unique project experience across the wider geotechnical team at LDE. You will be undertaking on-site geotechnical investigations new projects, preparing geotechnical reports for subdivision and building consent, undertaking construction monitoring inspections on a wide range of projects, assessing land damage or slip repair jobs for both residential and roading, and assisting or preparing retaining wall designs. All of this contributes to ensuring smooth delivery to clients. Responsibilities of the Role: • Work with the geotechnical team lead to deliver on time and on budget. • Undertake analysis and design for key projects, including those of a specialist nature and requiring strong technical input. • Prepare proposals and reports. • On-site geotechnical investigations and reporting. • Help in the building and maintaining client relationships . Contracts Manager (Infrastructure)

LDE are a well-resourced professional engineering consultancy delivering complex infrastructure recovery projects across the Gisborne District.  Our Gisborne office is one of eight offices across the North Island. Past weather events have significantly increased demand for construction-phase services, and we are now seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to support the growing programme of slip and dropout remediation, bridge strengthening and road recovery works. About the role: This is a hands-on construction-phase role which plays a key part in keeping important infrastructure projects moving safely, fairly and efficiently. It will see you embedded within live construction sites across the Gisborne District, working closely with stakeholders and LDE’s design teams, making sure that projects are well managed, technically sound and commercially robust. You will be tracking contracts in line with NZS 3910, evaluating variations, programmes and payment claims as well as liaising and communicating with stakeholders and clients, and leading MSQA services on site. From one day there will be problem-solving on site, reviewing contractor submissions, helping resolve issues early, and providing clear, practical advice to clients on regional recovery projects which have strong impact within communities. About the essential experience required: • At least 2 years working with NZS 3910 • Contract management in civil infrastructure • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook) About the competencies required: • Current driver’s licence - Restricted at a minimum • High level of organisation and commercial awareness • Ability to work independently in the field • Calm under pressure • Able to manage multiple projects • Strong organisational and communication skills • Site-focused, practical mindset. Project Finance Administrator - Gisborne or Auckland CBD

About the Role The Project Finance Administrator role exists to ensure engineering projects are set up correctly, invoices are issued accurately and on time, and that data across our systems is complete and consistent. This involves being able to take ownership of project invoicing and administration while providing general administrative support for our engineering teams both locally and nationally. This is a full-time, office-based role with a choice of two locations – either in our Auckland office based at Victoria Park or in our Gisborne office. Both offices are modern, open plan and each of the respective teams have an enjoyable and fun approach to work. The role reports to the Administration Team Lead, based in Gisborne. It would suit someone who likes taking ownership of their work, finds satisfaction in accurate and correct data, and has a strong and confident communication style. There are constant interactions with the engineering team as well as regular communications with clients. If your preferred location is in our Auckland office, self-motivation at a higher level would be required because management support would be provided remotely.
