Civil/Geotechnical Engineer – Gisborne

We have a portfolio of work in the Gisborne region needing the skills of a suitably qualified engineer based in our Gisborne office. If you already live in or around Tairāwhiti, you will know what the region has to offer. You will also understand the challenges left behind by the weather events of recent years. About the role

This Gisborne-based role takes on the unique challenges of the post-cyclone recovery for Tairāwhiti and the surrounding regions. You will be part of the national civil team, contributing to primarily local but also national projects across the commercial and infrastructure space, while managing projects and clients.

There is a balance of in-house design time and on-site MSQA. Contract and contractor management forms a large part of the overall design package delivery.

You will be able to demonstrate initiative and confidence in decision making, and be comfortable dealing directly with clients and projects of varying sizes. Key requirements

Bachelor of Engineering (Civil); 1+ year of post-graduate civil consultancy experience; strong MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook); able to live and work in New Zealand indefinitely; current driver's licence, at least restricted; NZS 3910 contract management preferred.
