Senior Geotechnical Engineer – Northland

About the role

We have a diverse portfolio of forward work in the commercial, residential, coastal, central and local government sectors both in Whangarei and across the North Island. As an engineer at LDE you will be an integral part in the project life cycle. Keeping busy will be easy but a balance between work and life is compulsory at LDE and our flexible working hours support this. If you already live in Northland (Whangarei ideally), you will know what a great region it is. If you are willing to relocate, you will quickly get to know the area and all that it offers.

About the qualifications and experience required

  • Tertiary qualified in engineering e.g. bachelor’s degree or diploma
  • Between 5-7 years of relevant experience in New Zealand, Northland experience would be advantageous.
  • Software user in RocScience suite, Cliq, CPet-IT, Settle 3.
  • At least a restricted and clean NZ driver’s license.
  • Residential development, commercial projects and construction monitoring
  • Technically sound in foundation, retaining wall, ground improvement assessment and design
  • Planning and undertaking detailed site investigations
  • Short term goal of working towards CPEng accreditation

  • Interpersonal skills for effective client relationships
  • Organised to manage project milestones from inception to handover
  • Able to mentor junior engineers with their technical development
  • Able to work efficiently and productively
