AIR7000 Phase 2B

Defence required suitable hangar and support office services to cater for the replacement Maritime Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Response (MISRR) aircraft. The new P-8A Poseidon Aircraft required interim facilities in order to assist operations of the two types of aircraft, ahead of the new purpose-built facilities being available. Defence required a cost-effective and rapid Design and Construct solution. WGA oversaw the design of two packages of work that had to be delivered within 6 months. This included refit of offices and hangars, apron line marking, an antennae farm and tower, and secure spaces. All design timelines were achieved. We were able to work closely with our end client to maximise apron parking for the new aircraft.
