Automated Quality Checks

Fast decision making is required during exploration drilling campaigns. This requires fast turnaround and trust in analytical data through rigorous quality checks.

WGA developed a systematic and programmatic approach to validate lab analytical results, to streamline procedures and ultimately assist our clients in achieving JORC compliance.

Analysis of lab repeats, field duplicates and analytical standards are shown in an online dashboard and delivered as a report with processed assays. Online dashboard features include:

• Lab repeats and field duplicates displayed as a 1-to-1 plot of its samples vs repeats are plotted with the threshold lines set at ±10%. The threshold lines are used as markers to flag data points that are out of bounds.

• Standards analysis, displayed as control charts at ±1, ±2, and ±3 standard deviation thresholds.

• Plots are interactive, allowing the users to in examine any data points on the graph.

WGA streamlined quality check reporting of lab assay results to ensure quality checks are completed immediately on received assays. Analytes that exceed thresholds are flagged for action by the client team.

With the implementation of automated quality checks, WGA are helping AR3 strengthen stakeholders' confidence in decision making based on trusted results. Errors are rapidly identified, and corrective actions are immediately executed to mitigate risk to the business, saving the AR3 team time and cost.
