CBH Gravity Take-up Unit Replacement

CBH approached WGA to compile an options study for the replacement of the existing gravity take-up unit (GTU) at the Kwinana Grain Terminal to improve safety and maintainability.

The existing GTU structure was not compliant with the relevant standards and presented several significant hazards during routine access and isolation.

The final design included dedicated take-up winches and remote lubrication systems, which eliminated the need for access to the structure and reduced ongoing maintenance costs and downtime.
