Kaiti Hill Plaza Retaining Wall

What was once a pa (fortified village) atop Kaiti Hill is now a 35-ha reserve and boasts impressive views of Gisborne city centre and its three rivers.  The Hill is a popular spot for picnics, fitness and lookouts, and Kaiti Hill Road is the primary access to the reserve.

Due to some sections of Kaiti Hill Road being lost to subsidence, LDE was engaged to investigate, design and provide construction supervision of a retaining wall within this moderately deep-seated landslide.
