Locomotives for BHP

To expand and improve productivity of the underground mine at Olympic Dam, several locomotives containing pressure vessels were imported from the United Kingdom. WGA undertook reverse engineering analysis to determine their compliance with Australian Standards. WGA presented a suite of options to BHP to achieve compliance.
