Prominent Hill Assessments

WGA was engaged to undertake Life Cycle assessments on mobile fleet at the Prominent Hill mine site for Oz Minerals.

The mobile fleet consists of mobile cranes, elevated work platforms, vehicle loading cranes, forklifts and trailer mounted air compressor units.

Inspections involved review of the current condition and the current service and maintenance schedule. Design life calculations of the mobile fleet was also undertaken.

WGA provided budget costs for future maintenance and identified a number of improvement areas to improve plant efficiencies.

The assessment identified and prioritized areas for improvements with the mobile fleet. This enabled Oz Minerals to map out a maintenance cost forecast for each item for the next five years and overlay major inspection work in the schedule.
