Project Overview
WGA was appointed structural and civil design consultants for developing a new building facility for the AFP at Export Park, Adelaide Airport.
The 2,400 m² post-tensioned concrete framed building within the Export Park precinct includes two storeys of office space with undercroft parking. As the building and basement are located adjacent to an existing stormwater detention basin that serves the Export Park precinct, detailed stormwater modelling was required to ensure the basement would not be inundated during a 100-year flood event.
The building achieved a 4 Star Green Star rating for its environmentally sensitive design. It also received a high commendation in the Commercial Building Category of the 2013 AIA Awards.
