Northam Hospital IDHS

WGA undertook both structural and civil design services for the redevelopment of the Northam Hospital (Integrated District Health Service) for the Western Australian Country Health Service. The existing building was significantly expanded with the addition of a two-storey ambulatory care wing, a surgical services facility with two new operating theatres, and significant alterations and additions to the emergency department and ambulance bays, the inpatients wing, kitchen, renal dialysis and chemotherapy/pharmacy areas. External access roads and carparks were re-designed to cater for the anticipated increase in vehicle traffic and carparking demand.
