Rapid Bay Jetty
Project Overview
WGA was involved in the design and construction of a new 240m recreational jetty to replace the existing deteriorated jetty. Demolition or refurbishment of the old structure not possible due to cost and environmental concerns so the new jetty was constructed alongside the existing structure.
Given the hard rock conditions at the site, piling for the new jetty was a key factor in the overall design. WGA was involved in an innovative geotechnical investigation that successfully removed the piling risk from the project.
