Swan River Pedestrian Bridge

The $80m Swan River pedestrian bridge connects East Perth with the Optus Stadium in Burswood and stretches 370m between both banks.

WGA was responsible for the design of all temporary works on-site, including the design of two causeways into the Swan River, construction yard, access roads, intersections with external roads, and shared path relocations. Our maritime team engineered the structural pile designs including formwork design, silt curtains, wharf design, barge stability assessments and offloading certifications. As this is a high profile project with many stakeholders, a flexible and responsive approach was required to facilitate coordination with the neighbouring stadium builders.
