Project Overview
Situated in the centre of Adelaide’s CBD, Stage 1 of the Victoria Square Redevelopment was undertaken to revitalise this frequently used civic space. WGA was the structural and civil engineering consultant for the Adelaide City Council.
The project included:
- A revised Grote/Wakefield Street layout.
- Terraced event space surrounding a large lawn area.
- New water feature at each end of the square.
- Shade structure.
- New amenities building.
- Modular urban lounge structure and multiple urban furniture items.
