Victoria Square Project
Project Overview
Situated in the centre of Adelaide’s CBD, Stage 1 of the Victoria Square Redevelopment was undertaken to revitalise this frequently used civic space. WGA was the structural and civil engineering consultant for the Adelaide City Council.
The project included:
• A revised Grote/Wakefield Street layout.
• Terraced event space surrounding a large lawn area.
• New water feature at each end of the square.
• Shade structure.
• New amenities building.
• Modular urban lounge structure and multiple urban furniture items.
